When I joined Kane & Finkel Healthcare Communications in 2012, my main client was Astellas Transplant, the pharmaceutical drug maker of PROGRAF. Besides marketing to healthcare professionals, the company was interested in helping patients improve their lives. Kane & Finkel developed a site called TransplantExperience.com, which wasn't explicitly marketing PROGRAF but would be a resource for people that have had a transplant or are taking care of loved ones who have.
As the interactive producer on the account, my role was to oversee updates to this massive site (nearly 100 pages of content) and ensure that the information on here was in compliance with not only the client's wishes, but also the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The site was built on top of the Drupal Content Management System and also required the assistance of in-house and third-party agencies in updating certain creative elements. In addition, I supervised the creation of biweekly email newsletters that we sent out on the client's behalf. Upon receiving approved content, I'd direct it to a designer before the work was sent to the client for approval. Then it would be sent to CapGemini for testing and distribution. |
